Synopsis: Elvino is angry with Amina because he caught her in Rodolfo's bedroom asleep. Even though Rodolfo was not in the room and even though Amina arrived to the room via sleepwalking, Elvino believes that she was there to sleep with another man. He takes back the ring he gave her in anger. Elvino knows that Amina loves him, but he can't figure out why she was in another room though. He sings of these mixed feelings.
