Già rispondi a miei caldi desiri,	Now answer to my warm desires
Già tu cedi al più tenero amor.		now surrender to my tender love
Ma tu fuggi, spietata tu taci,		But you scape, unpitiful you're silent
Ed invano mi senti languir?		and in vain you feel me suffer?
Ah cessate, speranze fallaci,		Ah, stop, wrong hope
La crudel mi condanna a morir.		the cruel one condemnes me to die.
