This is a list of waterfalls in Indiana that I know about but have not visited personally. Every waterfall in this list includes as much information as I know. - Clifty Falls, Clifty Falls State Park, Madison, 75-100 feet, Ohio River. The name Clifty Falls paints a beautiful picture in your mind. Winter and spring hiking shows the breathtaking falls at their best while the rugged splendor of the creek and bouldered canyon offer exciting scenery year-round. Directions : Clifty Falls State Park is located in the southern end of Indiana near Madison with entrances off state roads 56 and 62. To get there take I-65, Ohio River Scenic Route. - Falls of the Ohio, Falls of Ohio State Park, Clarksville, Ohio River. Rapids, fossils and fishing highlight the Falls of the Ohio. Located on the banks of the Ohio River in Clarksville, Indiana, the 386-million-year-old fossil beds are among the largest exposed Devonian fossil beds in the world. The park features a spectacular interpretive center overlooking the fossil beds and the Ohio River. The months of August - October provide the best accessibility to the 220 acres of fossil beds, as the river is at its lowest level during this period. - McCormicks Creek Falls, McCormicks Creek State Park, Spencer, 30-50 ft, McCormicks Creek off of the White River. Unique limestone formations and scenic waterfalls are some of the beautiful highlights at Indiana's first state park, McCormick's Creek. Hike through the thick wooded area or roam leisurely through the magnificent canyon surrounded by high cliffs. Directions : 3 miles east of Spencer, IN on St Rd 46. Or 14 miles north west of Bloomington, IN on St Rd 46. Approximately 60 miles south of Indianapolis, take 67 south to Spencer, then 46 east to park. Submitted by Nancy Hart.
