Synopsis: Rachel is filed with worry and apprehension over her impending meeting with Léopold, whom she believes to be Samuel, a Jewish workman. Although she is fond of him, she has suspicions about him because of his behaviour at the Passover feast. In fact, he is a Christian prince of the Empire and married.
