Synopsis: After Rachel accuses Prince Léopold of consorting with her and committing a crime by causing an interfaith relationship between a Jew and a Christian, Cardinal de Brogni condemns both of them along with Rachel's father, Eléazar. He claims they have broken God's laws by engaging in this forbidden relationship.
