Synopsis: King Argante comes upon Armida. However, he does not recognize her since she has taken on the appearance of Rinaldo's love, Almirena. Since Argante is infatuated with Almirena, he promises to free her from Armida's spells. Armida then returns to her natural appearance and swears angrily that she will no longer help Argante achieve his goals.
