Ah se a morir, Cecilio's aria from Lucio Silla

Ah se a morir mi chiama (Alas, if my cruel fate
Il fato mio crudele Summons me to death,)
Seguace ombra fedele As faithful, guardian shade
Sempre sarò con te. I shall forever be beside thee.

Vorrei mostrar costanza I would fain give proof of steadfastness,
Cara, nel dirti addio Dearest, at this parting,
Ma nel lasciarti, oh Dio!	But now that I leave you, o God!
Sento tremarmi il piè. My footsteps falter.
