Una volta c'era un re, Cenerentola's aria from La Cenerentola

Una volta c'era un re, Once upon a time there was a king
Che a star solo, Who was alone,
Che a star solo s'annoiò;	Who was bored of being alone:
Cerca, cerca, ritrovò : So he searched and searched and found
Ma il volean sposare in tre, But all three wanted to marry him,
cosa ta? so what does he do?
Sprezzò il fastom e la beltà,	He scorns pomp and beauty,
E all fin sceglie per sè	And in the end, he chose for himself
L'innocenza, e la bontà Innocence and virtue
